No one wants this stuff, apperntly. I watched this B-207E in Bristol CT for a month, first at $200, then $150 and finally at $100. At 320 miles roundtrip it was still too much without an inspection. LOL. Then this Sovereign was offerd at $150 in the same town. Well holy crap, dont lead me to temptation, I can find it myself!!!

Anyway, I was able to work it out with both sellers for a combined trip. I haven't cleaned up the mower deck yet. Looks like it might take 15 minuites... About as nice as it gets.

Am I living in another dimension or has the entire world gone nuts???

Could I ask a favor?

Would you park all your tractors in a circle with the grills facing inward. Build a campfire in the middle and take some pics eating a hamburger or hot dog and some beans and act like your feeding your heard?
I've seen some crazy things in my life but NEVER have I witnessed anything like this...
They just fall into your lap... Amazing....

They look great Larry! I like that Sovereign...she looks real clean. I'd have made the drive for a $150 princess like that too! =]

Larry, you are now collecting them like trading cards. You need a very large shoe box..

I didn't knpw what it was outside a a 3400 series shuttle tractor, the seller said he thought it was 10 horse, and that it ran and drove fine, and didn't smoke. But it made the trip for the B-207 worthwhile.

I was pleasently surprised when I saw "Sovereign" and "3415S". It was short lived though, the wide rears are gone and it has narrow rear rims and tires like an early B10, Under hood inspection revealed an engine with tin covering the head, so it is a 10 horse, and missing the screen on the booster fan. But it does run nice and it's all there except for the bulbs, the seller made plates to put over the empty sockets. I put a seat and battery and gave it a serious scrubbing. I'm happy. :)

The B-207 is like a Broadmoor but it isn't. Built in Lexington instead of Port Washington. The transaxle is visibly beefier, the rear rims bolt on instead of sliding on a keyed shaft, has a COOL steering wheel, the shaft that the clutch/brake pedal is on also has the footrests attached to it, when you depress the clutch the foot rests rock a little, and some other minor differences. The 36" 3 blade deck is whisper quiet, and the blades dont even really need sharpening, I will though, I'm going to give the whole deck a thorough cleaning before I re mount it. All it needs is a primary drive belt, a battery, and at some point a seat, and the roll pin in the shifter is broke so you have to shift with 2 hands. You have to take the seat deck off to get at it, so I'm going to live with it till I find a seat for it. I hope to mow later this week with it. The 36" deck on an articulated frame LT should do a beautifull job. I'm delighted!

I am not much for vertical engine tractors, but at that price, oh heck yeah! What a deal!

Lost your bet :), put battery's in both. The B207 is also rope start though. still a deal, I would have payed $200 for the 207 if I'd been able to inspect it before making the deal

I'm not a fan of vertical shaft engines either, except in push mowers, but this is easy to change the belts on, and I'm going to bet this little articulated tractor with its 36" 3 blade deck will do as nice or nicer job as anything I have. For sure it will take 3 times as long as the 48" deck on my 3416H, which might not be a bad thing....

Sounds more intereting than I thought...I did not know the Allis' were any different! Kinda like the 3-400 series, I would only have one because it's neat, so right now, no-can-do. I wouldn't mind one with HiLo and a tiller though...

My early Broadmoor has the bolted wheels, too. When did they go to the keyed shaft?

I was hoping to hear from you, I'm hoping that this 207 is the same as the early Broadmoors, but I think, not sure it was made in 72 at the Lexington, SC plant. Much later than yours. So far I have not been able to find a Simplicity counterpart

My 637 Yeoman and 5008 Broadmoor have much smaller transaxles and rear rims on keyed shafts. My guess is the flathoods all have these too.

I'm going to post some pics later and ask you old Broadmoor owners what the differences are. Hopefully the grill and seat!

When looking at the parts breakdown for the early Broadmoor's I'm seeing them all as 3-bolt axles beginning with the 6hp through the 727. The 728 is the first keyed axle I can see. Unless SEPW is incorrectly displaying parts diagrams for the various models, It appears the change occurred around '69...

I'll look forward to that Larry. I can take pics of my Broadmoor to copycat yours to see the differences. I think they are conceptually similair but different. I think even the wheelbase and track are slightly different also. But do your post of pics and I'll snap away to compare!

Its posted in tractor talk, one source says the 207 is 68, so if Josh id right about 69, it may be a early broadmoor, I found a picture of a 717 and what I could see whas the same.
