Ive got a few basic tools, ramps, tie downs and a full tank of gas ready to go... Ill snap a few shots and share them as soon as I get settled tomorrow evening, I'm really hoping that its decent shape, I need a usable machine, not another project, but would be OK with giving it a solid once over to make sure its lubed and adjusted!

But I think I have something that will work just as well and maybe better...those shackles that are kind of horseshoe shaped that have a round pin that screws into the "open side" of the shackle to close it. Denny, thanks for the advice on setting the chain range. Makes sense and I'll follow those instructions! Thanks again.

The last three days have been really nice with temps reaching into the upper 70's and low 80's for the first time since November. Today was especially nice. After getting some odds and ins taken care of this morning I had to evict the English sparrows from a dilapidated but fancy bird house my daughter bought for my wife. It was supposed to be for the Carolina wrens but the sparrows moved in first and spoiled the place as usual. This is what happens when you rent to trashy birds. All the doors are off the hinges and they pulled all the shingles off the roof. Being a slum lord is for the birds.

I put up our old "See Rock City" barn and within the hour the sparrows were back checking out the new digs. The wrens seem to like my tractor shed much better.

I then decided to hook up my trailer and get some soil from the nursery to fill a few holes and build up some beds for flowers for my wife. When I got home I hooked up my B112 "Buggsy" and pulled the loaded trailer around through the garden and immediately bogged it down in a soggy spot on the north end. Oh well, I unloaded part of the soil in the low spot and finally 30 minutes later I jacked the trailer up and placed boards under both wheels so that I could back out.

I parked on solid ground and put the Johnny bucket on Sweet Allis to move the load around the yard. I tried to get some video footage but it is not much to look at from the driver's seat.

I had to load the bucket by hand[:(]but at least I let the tractor do the hauling and spreading. I am going to make some t ail gate jack stands and tongue support which will allow me to enter the trailer parallel to the bed and thus be able to unload using the scoop.

I then decided to hook up Roy's moldboard plow behind Buggsy and see what the old girl could do. I love to plow and the ole B112 worked beautifully. I plowed last season with Sweet Allis and was pleased but B112 is far superior and much more nimble. I also seemed to get much better traction with my new ATV tires. In fact it worked so well I was able to increase my depth of cut. The B112 and the 10" Brinly plow are a winning combination.

Once the garden was turned I decided to cut down a mound in my yard where a huge pine stood before being struck by lighting 6 years ago.

I worked until dark and I noticed the the electric lift was getting sluggish. When I shut her down I did not have enough juice left to crank her again. I usually make a point of charging the battery before I use the Johnny Bucket since my generator will not keep up but I decided to use it on the spur of the moment and had not charged the battery since October. Even though it was a successful afternoon it ended with the indignity of having to recharge the battery on the old gal to get her back to the shed.

Can't wait to get home from church tomorrow and do some more. At least I will have one more hour of Daylight (remember Spring Forward)
