I used the Broadmoor tonight for the first time with the plow, and it did great. Got around 4-5 inches of snow and with the chains on the tires it just pushed that snow without even slipping.

Ok, I'll stop posting these but this is just too much fun! Alex wanted to help and then Abby wanted to also, especially since it's her Broadmoor! Even though one photo is blurry from running, since I still have to use the clutch/brake for Abby, they show how much fun the kids have helping.

| Great pics Jon. No need to limit them. Kids will have a ball all winter now. I think you should be able to rig an easy hand extension to the pedal or put a temporary block on it for Abby to use......Dave |

This is what I meant by a hand lever Jon. One of the dad's here does this til the kids are bigger.Foot boards and hand lever...Dave.

Dave, that is awesome! I may try that, except it looks like he drilled through the frame to mount the brackets and I would try clamps or something first, hate to put holes in it. Thanks for that photo!
Phil, I know. They are growing way too fast. Below is a photo of Alex the first spring he had his tractor, he was only 3 and a half years old. Now the only thing he needs help with is starting it.

| Small tractors with chains (and wheel weights) do a good job of plowing snow. The problem is, if you get lots and lots of snow you soon run out of somewhere to push it. A blower will blow it out of the way and compact it. I learned this in Alaska and with our extraordinary amount of snow we had here in southwest Idaho last winter. My driveway is almost a quarter mile long through neighbors property so even with a big plow there is nowhere to push it so blowing becomes the best option. Good looking kids, soon to be teenagers. | I totally get the plowing thing, I can see that happening. I don't think we will get enough snow in between mild thawings for it to be too much of a problem, but I will alternate between the plow and snow blower to help. Besides, I can't use one tractor too much before the other girl wants to use hers! |

Yeah, it's because of the larger photos. Maybe I can try
to keep my text on the left hand side of the screen
so you only have to scroll if you want to view the images. |
