For the PMAX. I am looking at one of the bolt in kits and selling the running Onan. I am not fond of having to pull it and then fix it. Or the option of the pulley system I couldn't find time to complete. If I have a turn-key solution, it will get done. I am sorry to hear your back is giving you difficulties. Mine is slowing me down, but not stopping me yet. Still too many projects...

Onan's are good engine when they are running but when they break down you just about have to visit the banker to afford parts. I have an Onan standby generator that I revived this summer. Very nice machine as it runs at only 1800 rpm and is very quiet. I dread the day it breaks down though.
Does your kit come with a B&S engine? Don't know too much about the newer ones. My 6-year-old Ferris Zero turn has a B&S V twin and it has been flawless. Hope I didn't just jinx myself!
